Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to enhance the belt durability of a belt-type continuously variable transmission while still ensuring drive performance in a region in which a required drive force value is small when the vehicle starts moving. In a drive system from a drive source to drive wheels (5, 5), an engine (1), a first clutch (2), a motor generator (3), a second clutch (4), and a belt-type continuously variable transmission CVT are mounted. The drive modes of the drive system include an EV mode via disengagement of the first clutch (2) and an HEV mode via engagement of the first clutch (2). In this method for controlling an FF hybrid vehicle, a WSC mode, in which a transmission torque to the drive wheels (5, 5) is made equivalent to a target drive force by placing the second clutch (4) into a slip engagement state, is selected as the drive mode when the vehicle starts moving. When a drive force value required by a driver is equal to or less than a threshold while the WSC mode is selected, the belt-type continuously variable transmission CVT is fixed to the Lowest transmission gear ratio. When the drive force value required by the driver exceeds the threshold, the fixing to the Lowest transmission gear ratio of the belt-type continuously variable transmission CVT is released.
