Abstract:
This on-vehicle device causes a signal to be transmitted from an in-cabin antenna and at least two transmission antennae provided to a vehicle so as to be separated from each other, and executes processing in accordance with a response signal from a portable device which has received the signal. The on-vehicle device is provided with: a transmission control unit which causes the signal to be transmitted simultaneously from the two transmission antennae; an intensity changing unit which changes the transmission intensity of the in-cabin antenna such that a portable device outside the vehicle cabin can receive the signal, if a response signal from the portable device to the signal transmitted from the two transmission antennae is not received; and an in-cabin transmission control unit which causes the signal to be transmitted from the in-cabin antenna at the transmission intensity changed by the intensity changing unit.
