Abstract:
A vehicle door controlling device comprises a vehicle-side controlling device provided in the vehicle comprising a door that can be automatically opened, and a portable device that allows reservation setting for automatically opening the door by a user. The portable device comprises a transmitter that transmits, by way of a wireless transmitting function, a signal containing information pertaining to the reservation setting. The vehicle-side controlling device comprises: a receiver that receives the signal sent from the portable device; a first detecting unit that detects, on the basis of the signal received by the receiver, the portable device that is present in a first area near the door and on which the reservation setting was performed; and a controlling unit that unlocks the door when the portable device on which the reservation setting was performed is detected in the first area by the first detecting unit, and that opens the door when the portable device detected in the first area by the first detecting unit is detected by the first detecting unit to be in the first area for a continuous prescribed amount of time.
