Abstract:
This vehicle headlight comprises: a first lamp unit (10) capable of changing the light distribution pattern (PL) of a low beam; a detection unit (30) for detecting an area (55) that is a veiling area in which the conditions necessary for the veiling phenomenon to occur are satisfied in the area irradiated with the low beam; and a control unit (CO). When an area (55) is detected by the detection unit (30), the control unit (CO) controls the first lamp unit (10) so that in the light distribution pattern (PL) of the low beam, the total luminous flux of light from the first lamp unit (10) irradiating a predetermined area (75) at least partially overlapping the area (55) is reduced compared to when an area (55) is not detected.
