VEHICULAR POWER DEVICE AND WHEEL BEARING DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/017340
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a vehicular power device that is capable of, by allowing the heat of an electric motor installed within a brake rotor to be released efficiently, preventing malfunction, etc., of the electric motor and preventing deterioration of brake performance, preventing degradation of a lubricant within a bearing, and preventing deterioration of strength of a bearing material. This vehicular power device (1) is provided with: a wheel bearing (2); and an electric motor (3) that has a stator mounted to an outer ring (4) and a motor rotor (19) mounted to an inner ring (5). The electric motor (3) overall is smaller in diameter than an outer peripheral part on which a brake caliper is pressed in a brake rotor (12), and the entirety of the electric motor (3), except for a mounting part to be attached to a hub flange (7), is positioned in a range between the hub flange (7) and an inboard-side vehicle-body mounting surface (4a) of the wheel bearing (2). The outer peripheral surface of the electric motor (3) is provided with a relief part (22) for cooling the electric motor (3).
