Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a vent hole cleaning apparatus and a vent hole cleaning method that can accurately calculate the position of a vent hole and that can automatically clean the vent hole. [Solution] An apparatus 1 that cleans a vent hole 5 provided on a molding surface 4 of a mold 3 that vulcanizes a rubber product, comprising a detection means 11 that detects a shape of the molding surface 4, a cleaning means 12 that cleans the vent hole 5, a control means 13 in which molding surface information including shape information of the molding surface 4, the shape information including the position of the vent hole 5, is stored in advance, the control means 13 calculating the position of the vent hole 5 by comparing the shape of the molding surface 4 obtained by the detection means 11 with the molding surface information, and a guidance means 14 that moves the cleaning means 12 on the basis of the calculated vent hole 5 position.
