The present invention relates to a ventilated full-face individual protection device.

In particular, the present invention relates to a ventilated full-face individual protection device, of the type which comprises an integral cover for the head and face of a user / patient, fixed below the neck, which allows to isolate at the same time the mouth, the nose, and the eyes, which are the traditional access routes for any harmful substance or micro-organism.

The technical sector of reference is that of medical devices designed for CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure), that is the continuous positive pressure of the airways impressed by assisted mechanical ventilation, not very invasive, necessary in cases of respiratory insufficiency.

Various ventilated full-face individual protection devices are currently known.

A first example of a ventilated full-face individual protection device is described in the patent text US2014331999A1 which mentions a helmet for the non-invasive ventilation of patients, comprising a body / container in which the head of a patient can be housed, provided with at least one portion optically transparent and of an open end to which a first rigid ring is fixed. To the aforesaid first rigid ring an elastically yielding collar can be removably and sealedly coupled to the patient's neck and fixed to a second rigid ring, the distinctive feature of which consists in comprising a bayonet. There are also coupling means suitable for removably coupling the first and second rigid rings. Patent document EP2481433A2, on the other hand, describes a helmet for artificial respiration, without the aid of face masks or tracheal tubes and with a good fit. The helmet comprises a body, which encloses the patient's head, and a collar, designed to form a hermetic seal around the patient's neck, made of flexible plastic material. Fittings fixed on the body of the helmet, for connecting a ventilation apparatus, and accessories for air release are included. The collar is directly connected to a lower end of the helmet body, and the body and collar are made of flexible material, thus free of rigid structural elements.

However, known systems such as those described suffer from various limitations, among which there is the drawback of not simultaneously protecting all the aforementioned access routes, namely the mouth, nose and eyes. The purpose of the present invention is to provide a ventilated full-face individual protection device, efficient and comfortable to wear, which ensures that a user's mouth, nose and eyes are hermetically sealed, thus having characteristics such as to overcome the limits that still affect currently a ventilated full-face individual protection device, with reference to the known art.

A further object of the present invention is to provide a ventilated full-face individual protection device that guarantees safety conditions, especially when it is removed, reducing the likelihood that it may accidentally touch the user's face.

Finally, a further object of the present invention is to provide a ventilated full-face individual protection device that is comfortable to wear, which keeps the user's face away from discomfort, rubbing and skin irritation.

According to the present invention, a ventilated full- face individual protection device is realized, as defined in claim 1. For a better understanding of the present invention, a preferred embodiment is now described, purely by way of non limiting example, with reference to the attached drawing, in which: - Figure 1 shows a schematic view of a ventilated full- face individual protection device, according to the invention.

With reference to this figure, a ventilated full-face individual protection device is shown, according to the invention.

In particular, the ventilated full-face individual protection device 100 comprises:

- an inflatable helmet 101, substantially cylindrical in shape, adapted to be positioned removably at the head 51 of a user 50 and configured to be closed in a base portion thereof at the neck 52 of the same user 50;

- a first air filter 102 positioned on a first through hole made on a first portion of the inflatable helmet 101. According to an aspect of the invention, the protection device 100 comprises an electric fan 103 positioned on the first air filter 102 and configured for the inflation of the inflatable helmet 101 and for the circulation of air inside the same inflatable helmet 101. According to an aspect of the invention, the protection device 100 comprises a second respiratory filter 104 which is interchangeable and positioned on a second through hole obtained on a second portion of the inflatable helmet 101. According to an aspect of the invention, the protection device 100 comprises a hollow perimeter profile 105, having substantially cylindrical or toroidal shape, fixed in correspondence with a base portion of the inflatable helmet 101 and able to removably position the protection device 100 around the head 51 of the user 50.

According to another aspect of the invention, the electric fan 103 is adapted to be powered by a USB port or by a 12 Vdc socket. According to another aspect of the invention, the first air filter 102 is made of carbon.

According to one aspect of the invention, the protection device 100 is fixed around the head 51 of the user 50 by means of a fastening element positioned on a portion of the perimeter profile 105.

According to another aspect of the invention, the aforementioned fastening element is chosen from the group consisting of: natural or synthetic fiber lace; elastic means; velcro; zip closure. According to one aspect of the invention, the inflatable helmet 101 is made of a soft and transparent material, for example PVC, TPU or EPDM rubber.

According to another aspect of the invention, at least a portion of the inflatable helmet 101 is transparent. Advantageously according to the invention, once positioned around the head 51 of the user 50, the protection device 100 allows the face to be kept completely free, unlike known systems which, when tightened to the face, are uncomfortable, especially in prolonged use, and often cause sores, unlike the protection device 100 which can be comfortably worn for long periods without causing rubbing or irritation on the skin.

Advantageously according to the invention, the protection device 100 ensures the safety of the patient 50, especially when it is removed from the head 51, since the external part of the device does not accidentally touch the face, being removed by pulling it upwards.

Advantageously according to the invention, as anticipated, the presence of the electric fan 103 ensures the inflation of the inflatable helmet 101, maintaining its substantially cylindrical shape, and guarantees the circulation of air inside the helmet, with the consequent climatic comfort and absence of condensation. According to another aspect of the invention, the electric fan, positioned and tightened on the first air filter 102, is removable.

Advantageously according to the invention, the realization of the inflatable helmet 101 by means of a soft material among those mentioned above, and the removability of the electric fan 103, in addition to a high comfort for the user 50, allow the protection device 100 to be comfortably foldable to, for example, be housed in a bag for easy transport.
