Abstract:
A railway vehicle ventilation device that reduces passenger discomfort caused by sudden changes in pressure inside the vehicle when the pressure outside the vehicle suddenly changes, reducing same without stopping ventilation for extended periods. The ventilation device for railway vehicles suppresses sudden pressure fluctuations outside the vehicle from propagating inside the vehicle, without stopping ventilation for extended periods, by shutting of an air supply valve and an exhaust valve when fluctuation in pressure outside the vehicle reaches at least a permissible value and by opening the air supply valve and the exhaust valve when the pressure difference between inside and outside the vehicle is within a permissible range.
