Abstract:
Provided is a vertical pillar sash for a vehicle door, the vertical pillar sash being configured by combining: a first member having a recessed, glass run holding section open to the window opening side; and a second member having a bag-shaped section protruding toward the inside of a vehicle relative to the glass run holding section. The vertical pillar sash has, at the bottom of the glass run holding section, a pair of facing sections where the first member and the second member face each other. A protrusion is provided to one of the facing sections, the protrusion protruding toward the other facing section and being joined by welding to the other facing section in an overlapping manner. Thus, in the vertical pillar sash for a vehicle door, the overlapping portions of the two members can be highly accurately combined and joined with each other.
