Abstract:
The invention relates to a vertical take-off and landing aerodyne (1), comprising a fuselage (2), two wings (3), horizontal flight propulsion means (4) and at least one pair of rotors (5) intended to provide propulsion and lift in the take-off and landing phases. According to the invention, the rotors (5) are retractable and the horizontal flight propulsion means (4) comprise a counter-rotating propeller (8), situated at the tail (2c) of the aerodyne (1), and drive means for rotating the counter-rotating propeller (8), the counter-rotating propeller (8) being capable of being oriented by control means about two axes, one parallel to the yaw axis and the other parallel to the pitch axis of the aerodyne (1), such that the counter-rotating propeller (8) is used for controlling the attitude of the aerodyne (1), the latter therefore not having a tail unit.
