Title:
VIBRATION DRIVEN HYDRAULIC EXCAVATION BUCKET, EXCAVATION HEAVY MACHINERY, AND DREDGING WORK SHIP
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/059806
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Grab bucket excavation is carried out by the dead-weight opening and closing of a pair of shells. For this purpose, large scale buckets have an extremely sturdy, heavyweight structure. The excavation energy used therefor is inefficient and highly wasteful. Additionally, heavy machinery and dredging work ships equipped with such buckets are becoming huge due to large eccentric loads, and costs are increasing. The excavation bucket according to the present invention is vibration driven, which minimizes driving energy. For holding the excavated earth, a pair of hydraulic-powered opening/closing wall members are used to clamp the earth in a direction that reduces the size of the bucket bottom, and without the bucket closing, the earth is held by virtue of peripheral-surface frictional force and the deformation resistance of the earth. The bucket is only closed for soft earth. Little energy is needed for either the clamping or the closing. The present invention is intended to minimize excavation energy, and to reduce the weight and increase the size of each stage of the bucket. Additionally, the present invention is intended to prevent heavy machinery and dredging work ships from becoming huge, to address the large eccentric loads thereof by using mobile counterweights, and to drastically reduce costs.
