An inverted vibration isolation device of novel structure in which adequate toppling rigidity is provided through a low center of gravity and in which excellent load bearing performance, ride comfort, and other effects are realized when a stopper action is demonstrated by an axial stopper means. A coupling part (120) is configured by the engaging of an upper part of an outer bracket (84) with a lower part of a second attaching member (16), the outer bracket (84) is coupled to the second attaching member (16) by the coupling part (120) so as to project downward, and the second attaching member (16) is attached to the vibration isolation device (22) interposed by the outer bracket (84). The downward projecting outer bracket (84) is disposed facing a first attaching member (14) in the transverse direction, and the axial stopper means having a regulated relative displacement in the transverse direction of the first attaching member (14) and the second attaching member (16) is achieved by contact between the first attaching member (14) and the outer bracket (84).
