Abstract:

Provided are a vibration suppression device 50, a machine tool provided with the vibration suppression device 50, and a vibration suppression method using the vibration suppression device 50. The vibration suppression device 50 is provided with: a deflection member 52 having a first position F fixed to a structure 10, the first position F being the fixed end of a cantilever beam, and a second position S on the free end side; and a weight 54 attached to the deflection member 52 at the second position S, the vibration suppression device 50 having an adjustment mechanism for changing the distance L between the first position F and the second position S, whereby vibration of the structure can be effectively suppressed, and vibration can be effectively suppressed with a simple adjustment when the characteristics of a generated vibration differ.
