Abstract:
Disclosed in embodiments of the present application are a video transmission method and device. The method comprises: obtaining a first video and a second video, the content of the first video being the same as that of the second video, and the image quality of the first video being lower than that of the second video; obtaining M first video frames and identification information of N target frames according to the first video, the target frames being video frames among the first video frames, M and N being any positive integer, and M being greater than N; obtaining, from the second video according to the identification information of the N target frames, associated frames corresponding to the N target frames, the target frames and the associated frames having the same identification information and different image qualities; and recoding the M first video frames and N associated frames to obtain a third video, the third video being transmitted to a receiving device, the data volume of the third video being less than that of the second video. Implementation of the embodiments of the present application can improve the video image resolution and image quality while reducing the data volume of a transmitted video.
