Abstract:
A vinyl cutting head (10) is installed on an automated device (1) to cut vinyl, wherein the automated device (1) includes a cutting support (2) on which a packaging material (P) attached with vinyl (V) is mounted and a cutting head fixer (6) which is movable in all directions. The vinyl cutting head (10) comprises: a cutting head housing (12) which is installed above the packaging material (P), fixedly installed on the cutting head fixer (6), and provided with a head coupling groove (18) in a lower surface thereof; a cutting head unit (26) which is fixedly installed in the head coupling groove (18) and is provided with a blade fixing unit coupling hole (34) penetrating vertically in the center thereof; a blade fixing unit (60) which is installed in the cutting head unit (26) to be movable upward and downward along the blade fixing unit coupling hole (34), and is provided with a blade (82) protruding downward from the center of a lower surface thereof so as to cut the vinyl (V); a gap maintaining roller (46) which is installed on a bottom surface of the cutting head unit (26) to be rollable and is in contact with an upper surface of the packaging material (P), when the blade (82) cuts the vinyl, for maintaining a gap between the blade (82) and the packaging material (P); and a contact prevention member (50) which is installed to protrude downward from the bottom surface of the cutting head unit (26) and is installed on the bottom surface of the cutting head unit (26) to be rollable for preventing the lower surface of the cutting head unit (26) from contacting the packaging material (P). The vinyl cutting head according to the present invention can prevent the blade from being destroyed and damaged due to a collision between the packaging material and the blade, because the gap maintaining roller rolls along the upper surface of the packaging material and at the same time maintains a constant gap between the packaging material and the blade when the vinyl on the packaging material is cut. Also, since the gap maintaining roller is installed on the bottom surface of the cutting head which is adjacent to the blade, the power for supporting the cutting head due to the gap maintaining roller can be improved. Moreover, since the gap maintaining roller is installed on the bottom surface, damage to the gap maintaining roller due to a side impact during the moving operation of the vinyl cutting head can be prevented.
