Abstract:
The present application provides a VNF instantiation method and device, capable of solving the problem that a VNF defined by an existing VNF model cannot be realized, and applicable to various NFV systems. Said method comprises: an NFVO acquiring a VNFD; and the VNFD being used to instantiate the VNF, the VNFD comprising first indication information and resource requirement information of a first internal network, wherein the first indication information is used to indicating that the resource requirement information of the first internal network is externally visible. Then, the NFVO sends an external network instantiation request to a VIM, the external network instantiation request being used for the VIM to instantiate an external network connected to the VNF according to the resource requirement information of the first internal network. Thereafter, the NFVO sends a VNF instantiation request to the VNFM, the VNF instantiation request being used for the VNFM to instantiate the VNF according to the VNFD.
