Abstract:
A voltage regulator circuit, image sensor and method are provided. The voltage regulator circuit includes a power supply terminal (401, 501, 701) and a ground terminal (402, 602), and a differential amplifier (110, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710) coupled between the power supply terminal (401, 501, 701) and the ground terminal (402, 602). The voltage regulator circuit also includes an output transistor (120, 320, 420, 520, 620, 720), which includes a gate node coupled to an output node of the differential amplifier (110, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710) to receive a gate voltage and to provide a regulated output voltage at an output node of the output transistor (120, 320, 420, 520, 620, 720). The differential amplifier (110, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710) is configured to provide the gate voltage based on a differential between a reference voltage and the regulated output voltage. The voltage regulator also includes a compensation capacitance coupled between a virtual ground node in the differential amplifier (110, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710) and either the power supply terminal (401, 501, 701) or the ground terminal (402, 602) and a virtual ground node in the differential amplifier (110, 310, 410, 510, 610, 710).
