Abstract:
A wafer tumbler lock (1) comprises a lock casing having a plurality of wafers (2) disposed therein. One reset spring (3) is disposed at each of the wafers (2). Each of the wafers (2) comprises a tooth (4). A latch plate (5) comprises dial teeth and a locking rod (7) disposed thereon. A key (8) comprises a dial point (9) and protruding stages (10) disposed thereon. The protruding stages (10) protrudes into and forces the wafers (2) to move, forcing the teeth (4) of the wafers (2) to form a channel (20) for the locking rod (7) to pass therethrough. The dial point (9) of the key (8) drives the dial teeth (6) on the latch plate (5) to move the latch plate (5). When the protruding stages (10) move out from the wafers (2), the reset springs cause the wafers (2) to reset. The wafer tumbler lock (1) comprises a locking rod passing channel forming mechanism disposed therein. When the locking rod passing channel forming mechanism is driven by a starting component external to the wafer tumbler lock (1), the teeth (4) of the wafers (2) form a locking rod passing channel (20) for the locking rod (7) on the latch board (5) to pass therethrough. A door lock utilizing the wafer tumbler lock (1) can realize quick outdoor locking and quick indoor locking and unlocking.
