Abstract:
Provided are a walking stick and a shaft for a walking stick that absorb reaction force from the ground and suppress impacts to a body. This walking stick (1) comprises a grip (10) having a suitable shape, a shaft (20), and a foot part (ground contact part) (30) having a suitable shape. The shaft (20) is provided with a first curved part (21) that is curved so as to be convex in a walking direction, and a second curved part (22) that is curved so as to be convex in a direction opposite the walking direction. The first curved part (21) is configured on the grip (10) side, which is the side for holding the walking stick, and the second curved part (22) is configured on the foot-part (30) side, which is the side of the walking stick that contacts the ground. The first curved part (21) is configured so as to have a smaller curvature radius than the second curved part (22).
