Abstract:
Washing machine appliances (50) and methods of operating a pump (72) thereof are provided herein. The washing machine appliance (50) may include a tub (64), a basket (70), a nozzle (112), a measurement device (130) mounted to the tub (64), a motor (120), a drain pump (72), and a controller (150). The basket (70) may be rotatably mounted within the tub (64). The nozzle (112) may be in fluid communication with the tub (64) to selectively flow liquid thereto. The motor (120) may be in mechanical communication with the basket (70) to selectively rotate the basket (70) within the tub (64). The drain pump (72) may be in fluid communication with the tub (64) to selectively motivate wash fluid therefrom. The controller (150) may be operative communication with the measurement device (130), the motor (120), and the drain pump (72). The controller (150) may be configured to initiate a washing operation.
