Abstract:
The present invention relates to a washing machine and a method for controlling the same, and more particularly, to a washing machine for washing a door by using a circulation nozzle, and a method for controlling the same. The method comprises the steps of controlling a pump motor at a first pump rotation speed such that water sprayed from at least one nozzle is sprayed into a drum without interfering with a window during rotation of the drum; and decelerating the pump motor from the first pump rotation speed to a second pump rotation speed so that the water sprayed from the at least one nozzle is dropped into a portion of the window positioned in a tub.
