Abstract:
The present invention relates to a washing machine and, more specifically, to a washing machine having an improved structure including a laundry-escape preventing unit for preventing the laundry from escaping. The washing machine, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a cabinet having an opening, at one side thereof, in which the laundry is put into or taken out therethrough; a tub having an opening portion at the front side thereof corresponding to the opening of the cabinet, and arranged inside the cabinet; a drum having an opening portion at the front side thereof corresponding to the opening portion of the tub, and provided to be rotatable inside the tub; and a guide member of which one side is coupled to a front part of the tub and of which the other side has a shape protruding toward the center of the opening of the cabinet.
