Abstract:

A washing machine (1), comprising: a washing machine body (2) having a window section (24) formed on a front panel (2a) thereof; an outer tub (3) configured in an interior of the washing machine body (2), a portion of the outer tub at least corresponding to the window section (24) has a transparent area (32) comprised of transparent members; a dewatering tub (4) rotatably configured in an interior of the outer tub (3); a motor (61) rotatably driving the dewatering tub (4); and a tub cleaning unit (7) configured between the outer tub (3) and the dewatering tub (4), the tub cleaning unit (7) is configured in a position corresponding to the window section (24) and the transparent area (32) to press against an outer surface (40) of the dewatering tub (4). The washing machine enables observing the state of the outer surface of the dewatering tub without detachment, simple determination of a necessary cleaning time for cleaning the tub and observation of the tub cleaning state, thereby enabling simple determination of a tub cleaning effect.
