Abstract:

A washing machine, which can suppress damage in washing operation and achieve efficient cleaning no matter whether laundry wears easily or not. The washing machine (1) comprises: a washing drum (4); an agitating component (5), which is rotatable and used for agitating laundry (Q) in the washing drum (4); a motor (6), for rotating the agitating component (5); and a micro-computer (30), for supplying water to the washing drum (4) or controlling rotation of the motor (6). When the selection of a soft washing mode different from a standard mode and a wear mode in multiple modes set for the washing operation is received, the micro-computer (30) achieves, through the washing process in the soft washing mode, an operation condition under which the amount of water in the washing drum (4) is larger than that in the standard mode, the maximum rotation speed of the motor (6) is lower than that in the standard mode and higher than that in the wear mode, and the rotation time of the motor (6) in all periods of intermittent rotation of the agitating component (5) is longer than that in the standard mode, so that the agitating component (5) is intermittently rotated.
