Abstract:
A washing machine comprises: a bottomed cylindrical drum configured to rotate around an axis extending horizontally or obliquely; multiple hollow lifting ribs provided on an inner circumferential surface of the drum and along an axial direction of the drum; a water injection device used to inject water into each lifting rib; an acceleration sensor for detecting vibration of the drum; a proximity switch for transmitting a pulse signal in response to rotation of the drum; an unbalance detection portion and an unbalanced-position detection portion for detecting the amount of eccentricity of and an eccentric position on the drum; and a central control portion for controlling, when the amount of eccentricity reaches a specified threshold for water injection in a water removal process, the water injection device to inject water into the lifting rib corresponding to the eccentric position. When a vibration status of the drum is an opposed eccentric load state, the central control portion controls, on the basis of the amount of change in acceleration data corresponding to the vibration of the drum and measured by the acceleration sensor, the water injection device to stop injecting water into the lifting rib, or to inject water into a different lifting rib.
