This water replenishment stopper comprises: a body part that has a channel for supplying water into a battery container and an inspection through-hole that communicates with the inside of the battery container, the body part being attached to the battery container; a housing unit that is provided at one end of the body part on the opposite side to the other end facing into the battery container, the housing unit housing a portion of a float that causes a valve that opens and closes a supply channel to move in a first direction in concert with the liquid surface of an electrolyte within the battery container; and a lid part that is provided at the one end of the body part, and that covers the inspection through hole. In a plan view seen from the first direction, the housing unit has a first wall surface part that extends to an outer-edge-side end part facing the outer edge of the body part from the inside of the body part, the first wall surface part intersecting a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The lid part has a second wall surface part facing the first wall surface part in the second direction. At least at the outer-edge-side end part of the first wall surface part, a gap is provided in the direction in which the first wall surface part and the second wall surface part face each other.
