Abstract:
Provided are a water-retaining molded article, a method for cooling an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, and a method for manufacturing a water-retaining molded article with which it is possible to increase the effectiveness of cooling a heat exchanger and to reduce the required amount of electricity to a greater extent than in the past. A water-retaining molded article 1 for cooling a heat exchanger 11 provided to an outdoor unit 10 of an air conditioner, wherein the water-retaining molded article 1 is a cement block, the water retention rate is 35 vol% or less, and the air permeability is 0.0001 (m3/h)/Pa or higher.
