Abstract:
A water treatment device according to the present disclosure is provided with: an electrochemical cell having electrodes formed from a positive electrode and a negative electrode and a bipolar membrane; a tank; a power supply for applying power to the electrodes; a water circulation flow path, having at least the tank and the electrochemical cell, for circulating water; a circulation device for circulating water in the water circulation flow path; a raw water supply path for supplying raw water to the water circulation flow path; and a control device. When water softening treatment in which soft water is generated by power being applied to the electrodes and ions eliminated from the raw water is performed in the electrochemical cell, the control device drives the circulation device and makes water circulate in the water circulation flow path.
