Abstract:
Provided in the present application is a waveguide antenna comprising a first waveguide and a first liquid crystal structure, a waveguide wall of the first waveguide being provided with a first hollowed-out area, the first liquid crystal structure being positioned at the first hollowed-out area, the liquid crystal structure comprising a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal super-surface layer, and a wiring layer, the liquid crystal super-surface layer being positioned between the first substrate and the second substrate, and the wiring layer being arranged on the surface of the first substrate facing away from the liquid crystal super-surface layer, the liquid crystal super-surface layer comprising a plurality of liquid crystal super-surface units in a periodically repeating arrangement, and the wiring layer being used for controlling the working state of the liquid crystal super-surface units such that the liquid crystal super-surface units in a selected area form a coupling hole, the coupling hole being used for outputting an electromagnetic wave signal. The waveguide antenna in the present embodiment can change the direction of polarisation of the electromagnetic wave signals, and the waveguide antenna in the present embodiment has a simple voltage control structure and can achieve adjustability of the direction of polarisation of a linearly polarised wave. Also provided in the present application is a communication device.
