Abstract:
A waveguide device includes: an electrically conductive member having an electrically conductive surface; a waveguide member extending alongside the electrically conductive surface, and an artificial magnetic conductor extending on both sides of the waveguide member. The waveguide member includes: a first portion extending in one direction; and at least two branches extending from one end of the first portion, the at least two branches including a second portion and a third portion that extend in mutually different directions. A waveguide which is defined by the electrically conductive surface, the waveguide face, and the artificial magnetic conductor includes a gap enlargement at which a gap between the electrically conductive surface and the waveguide face is locally enlarged. At least a part of a junction at which the first portion of the waveguide member becomes jointed with the at least two branches overlaps the gap enlargement, as seen through in a direction perpendicular to the electrically conductive surface.
