Abstract:
[Problem] To improve versatility in play using a weapon toy, to improve enjoyment, and to improve safety for a user and for the surroundings of the user. [Solution] A weapon toy 1 has a main part 2, and one or more blade parts 3a, 3b that can be attached to or detached from the main part 2. The main part 2 includes a determination part SW1, SW2, a detection part SEN, an operation part SW3, a direction output part SP, and a control unit that can control said parts. Depending on whether the blade parts 3a, 3b are mounted on the main part 2, the control part sets an action mode in which motion of the main part 2 can be detected by the detection unit SEN, or a non-action mode in which the motion of the main part is not detected. In the action mode, direction is outputted from the direction output part SP when movement of the main part 2 is detected by the detection unit SEN. In the non-action mode, direction is outputted from the direction output part SP in response to the user operating the operation part SW3.
