Abstract:
This invention deals with a system and method to estimate chicken weight using 3D Computer Vision technique wherein: bird contour capturing device is a depth sensing camera, central processing unit is a microcomputer, connectivity device is a Wi-Fi module that can send data to external servers. Protective and other components consist of: a surge protector that guards against voltage spikes, a casing to house all other components and a cable to connect to power source. An AI engine installed on the onboard microcomputer estimates the Broiler weight from the 3D images. The system takes continuous 3D images and the processor estimates the weight from these 3D images. The estimated weights are saved on the device and sent to remote servers e.g. Cloud, to generate and visualize reports and insights for sharing with users via software application.
