Abstract:
A wet raw material drier comprising fluidized-bed drier (8) for drying a wet raw material, gas supply piping (5) for supplying coke oven emission gas as not only a heat source but also a fluidizing gas to the fluidized-bed drier (8) and dust collector (11) for recovering dust-size particles discharged together with gas from the fluidized-bed drier (8), wherein there is provided binder adding unit (18) equipped with means capable of automatic or manual regulation so that the amount of binder added is a constant ratio to dust-size particles with respect to dust-size particles whose recovery rate by the dust collector (11) is varied in accordance with fluctuations of the drying level of wet raw material caused by fluctuations of the flow rate or temperature of supplied coke oven emission gas. A binder is added by the use of the binder adding unit (18). Thus, even if the amount of dust-size particles discharged together with gas from the fluidized-bed drier (8) and recovered is increased or decreased, any dust dispersal and carbon adhesion onto coke oven wall can be securely prevented.
