Abstract:
A windproof torsion-resistant umbrella frame comprises: a shaft (1), an upper hub (2) fixedly sleeved on the shaft (1) near a top portion thereof, a lower hub (3) slidably sleeved on the shaft (1) below the upper hub (2), a main rib (4) having one end rotatable with respect to the upper hub (2), and a support rib (5) having one end rotatable with respect to the lower hub (3), an auxiliary rib (6) having one free end, a connector member (7) fixed to a section at the other end of the main rib (4), and a rotatable sleeve (8) sleeved on the main rib (4) near the connector member (7). The other end of the support rib (5) is rotatable with respect to the rotatable sleeve (8). One end of the auxiliary rib (6) is rotatable with respect to the connector member (7). A rotation direction of the auxiliary rib (6) is an upward inversion direction of an umbrella. The auxiliary rib (6) can engage with the connector member (7). The auxiliary rib (6) is engaged with the connector member (7). When the umbrella is inverted, a tensile force on the auxiliary rib (6) from a periphery of a canopy drives, via the provided rotatable sleeve (8), the entire main rib (4), the connector member (7), and the auxiliary rib (6) to rotate together, thereby preventing a problem in which an inverting torsion force on a conventional umbrella is concentrated at the pivoting point between the support rib (5) and the main rib (4) or the pivoting point between the auxiliary rib (6) and the connector member (7).
