Abstract:
A wireless communication device (100) characterized by comprising: a wireless communication unit (102) that performs wireless communication; a wired communication unit (103) that performs wired communication with an external apparatus; and a control unit (105) that, upon receiving a notification of the occurrence of an abnormality from the external apparatus, switches from a normal mode to a power-saving mode in which the consumption of electric power is less than in the normal mode and stops the supply of power to the wireless communication unit (102), and that, upon receiving emergency traffic from the external apparatus while operating in the power-saving mode, restarts the supply of electric power to the wireless communication unit (102) and causes the wireless communication unit (102) to operate as a synchronization master for performing synchronized control of wireless communication.
