Abstract:
Provided are a work machine and a work machine control system which are capable of preventing decreases in construction efficiency accompanying a complex work area being inputted. The present invention comprises a work area setting device 501, a work machine position/posture acquisition device 502, a work device position/posture acquisition device 503, a controller 500, and a designated area setting device 504. When a hydraulic excavator (work machine) 1 is contained within in a designated area 401, the controller 500 puts an operation limiting control, in a work area 111, into an active state or an inactive state in accordance with the active or inactive setting of operation limiting control according to the designated area 401 set by the designated area setting device 504.
