Abstract:
A workpiece conveyance system according to the present invention comprises: a conveyor element; a conveyor element actuation device that reciprocatingly moves the conveyor element between a first work stage and a second work stage; a plurality of positioning devices, each of which has a positioning member and a displacement device for altering the position of the positioning member, that position the workpiece at the first work stage and the second work stage; and a control device that controls the conveyor element actuation device and the plurality of positioning devices so that the positioning members displace to prescribed standby positions while the conveyor element on which the workpiece has been placed is moving from the first work stage to the second work stage, and so that the positioning members displace from the standby positions to support positions thereabove after the conveyor element reaches the second work stage.
