Abstract:
Provided is a workpiece holding device in which it is possible to cause a clamp device to operate without using an air cylinder. The workpiece holding device (11) comprises: a body (12); at least one shaft member (7) that can come into contact with a workpiece (W); a clamp device (1) attached to the body (12), the shaft member (7) being inserted into the clamp device (1), and the clamp device (1) being capable of switching between a non-clamping state in which the shaft member (7) is released and a clamping state in which the shaft member (7) is clamped; and a trigger member (16) for switching the clamp device (1) between the non-clamping state and the clamping state. The trigger member (16) comes into contact with the workpiece (W) either directly or indirectly via at least a portion (7a) of the shaft member (7), whereby the trigger member (16) moves relative to the body (12) and the clamp device (1) switches from the non-clamping state (fig. 3(a)) to the clamping state (fig. 3(b)).
