Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a revolutionary workpiece processing apparatus and oxide scale removal method not seen in the past. Provided is a workpiece processing apparatus provided with a slurry-jetting unit (1) for jetting compressed air along with a slurry (30), which is a mixture of a liquid (30a) and abrasive grains (30b), on a workpiece (W). A slurry pressure feed unit (2) for pressure-feeding the slurry (30) to the slurry-jetting unit (1) is provided. Said slurry pressure feed unit (2) is provided with a rotator (8) inside a casing (7). A slurry introduction port (4) is provided in the bottom (3) of the casing (7). A slurry outlet port (6) is provided in the side wall (5) that is established continuously on the perimeter of the bottom (3) of the casing (7). Vanes (9), which have length in the radial direction from the center of rotation of the rotator (8) and curve convexly in the direction of rotation, are provided on the rotator (9).
