Abstract:
A write protection method for SPI FLASH and a controller. The method comprises: a controller acquires an access address range of to-be-accessed SPI FLASH, the controller being configured with a protection address range of preset SPI FLASH, and the access comprising write or erase (101); and the controller determines whether the access address range of the to-be-accessed SPI FLASH is at least partially overlapped with the protection address range of the preset SPI FLASH; and if the access address range is at least partially overlapped with the protection address range, the controller triggers a protection mechanism of some addresses in the access address range of the to-be-accessed SPI FLASH overlapped with the protection address range of the preset SPI FLASH (102). By means of the write protection method for SPI FLASH and the controller, the problem that a protected space of SPI FLASH is written by mistake can be avoided; moreover, SPI FLASH of different manufacturers or different models can be compatible.
