Abstract:
Provided is a structure in which, in a zirconia sintered body that produces a bright red color by using coloring of cerium oxide, the color tone of a visible surface can be changed without involving a composition change. The present invention is a composite sintered body characterized by being obtained by lamination of: a layer comprising a zirconia sintered body containing 0.5 mol% or more but less than 4 mol% of cerium oxides in terms of CeO2, 2 mol% or more but less than 6 mol% of yttria, and 0.1 mass% or more but less than 2 mass% of aluminum oxides, the balance being zirconia, the cerium oxides including trivalent cerium, the zirconia having a tetragonal crystal structure; and a layer comprising a zirconia sintered body containing 2.0 mass% or more but less than 20.0 mass% of aluminum oxides, the balance being zirconia including 2 mol% or more but less than 6 mol% of yttria, and/or a layer comprising a zirconia sintered body containing 2 mol% or more but less than 6 mol% of yttria, a colorant, the balance being zirconia, and having a lightness L* of 10-75, a hue a* of not greater than -3 or not less than 3, a hue b* of not greater than -3 or not less than 3, and a chroma C* of 1-30 in a L*a*b* table color system, are layered.
