Abstract:
Provided is a coin processing device (100) comprising: a separating unit (110) for receiving coins or medals and feeding out the coins or medals one at a time; a sorting unit (120) that receives the coins or medals one at a time from the separating unit, determines the types of coins or medals while moving the coins or medals along an arc, and guides the coins or medals to paths for each type; a shared motor (106) that applies a driving force to the separating unit and the sorting unit; and a computer (191) that controls the motor. The computer reversely rotates the motor when the sorting unit has rotated by a first prescribed amount in a state in which the rotation of the separating unit has stopped.
