Abstract:
An implantation device (100) comprises a valve prosthesis having a support frame (102) that is radially expandable from a compact configuration to an expanded configuration, the support frame having an outer surface and a longitudinal axis along an inflow-outflow direction and defining a central orifice about the longitudinal axis;a valve clasper (106) movably attached to the support frame such that during valve delivery, the valve clasper is movable relative to the support frame along the longitudinal axis and between a nesting position with the outer surface of the support frame and an engagement position with a native cardiac valve sinus wherein the valve clasper is physically separated from the support frame; anda delivery device comprising a control unit (250) and a track wire (150) having a proximal end attached to the control unit and a distal end for contact with the valve clasper.
