PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a bearing metal layer on a cylinder block of a hydrostatic type push-aside machine, especially an axial piston machine, which reduces production costs and dust formation and enables production of a high-quality bearing metal layer on the cylinder block.SOLUTION: A method of producing a bearing metal layer on a cylinder block of a hydrostatic type push-aside machine includes a first production step of producing a green body (31) having shape stability from a sintering powder through an ordinary-temperature pressing process and a second production step of depositing, with sintering, the green body (31), produced by the ordinary-temperature pressing process, on the cylinder block (3) through a sintering process.
