PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat generating unit that, when cracks are generated in the heat generating unit, effectively shuts off energization to a heat generating part.SOLUTION: A heat generating unit comprises: a substrate 27; a heat generating part 26 that is provided on the substrate 27; power feeding parts 29a and 30a that are provided on the substrate 27 and feed power to the heat generating part 26; and conductive parts 29b and 30b that are provided on the substrate 27 and supply the power fed by the power feeding parts 29a and 30a to the power generating part 26 through a conductive path (conductive parts 29b4 and 30b4) over a short direction of the heat generating part 26 on the extension in the longitudinal direction of the heat generating part 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
