Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods and compositions for treating progesterone-dependent conditions.SOLUTION: The subject matter of the instant invention is pertinent to the field of treatment of hormone-dependent conditions. Methods for treating these conditions are provided including systemically administering an antiprogestin and simultaneously locally administering an antiprogestin. Embodiments of the instant invention disclose methods for treating endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, breast cancer, uterine fibroids and endometrial hyperproliferation. In several embodiments, the present invention provides methods for preventing or treating a hormone (i.e., estrogen and/or progesterone) dependent condition, the methods comprising systemically administering an antiprogestin to a patient in need of treating the hormone-dependent condition and simultaneously administering an antiprogestin locally to the patient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
