Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a conventional rocket motor causes increase in production cost and a drop in a structure mass ratio.SOLUTION: A rocket motor R which performs ignition after launch by an external force includes: a motor case 1; a solid propellant 2; a rocket nozzle 3; and an ignition device 4 arranged inside the motor case 1 and on an axis line of the rocket nozzle 3. The ignition device 4 includes a support pipe part 6 which is arranged on the axis line of the rocket nozzle 3 and whose head part is opened in the motor case 1, a conical part 7 continued to a tail part of the support pipe part 6 and for closing the rocket nozzle 3, and igniting powder 8 arranged inside the support pipe part 6, and it is detachably joined to the motor case 1. The solid propellant 2 is protected from acceleration at launch time, and reduction in production cost and improvement in a structure mass ration are achieved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
