Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water absorbent that allows a water-absorbing resin to be efficiently sorted, without impairing the powder flowability of the water-absorbing resin, and allows the functions of 1-hydroxy-2-pyridone derivatives to be fully exhibited.SOLUTION: An addition liquid with a 1-hydroxy-2-pyridone derivative dissolved or dispersed in (the addition liquid contains a polyhydric alcohol, and in a solvent or dispersion medium of the addition liquid the polyhydric alcohol is 30 wt.% or more in concentrations) and water, are added to a water-absorbing resin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
