Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the time required for data collision avoidance at startup and shorten the time required for startup processing.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a control circuit, a plurality of devices, a power supply device, a clock signal line connecting the control circuit and each device, a data signal line connecting the control circuit and each device, a clock input unit, and a power-off detection unit configured to detect an operational stop of the power supply device. At least one of the devices is powered from a battery. When recognizing the operational stop of the power supply device, the control circuit stops the output of a clock signal and causes the clock input unit to start its operation. After staring the operation, the clock input unit generates a preset number of clock signals and inputs the generated clock signals to the clock signal line.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
