Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration in the alignment at the placement of sheets by performing proper conveyance even when the sheet has the large waviness.SOLUTION: A sheet processing device includes: a processing tray 58 on which sheets are placed; a reference stopper 62 which is provided on one end of the processing tray; a return paddle 51 which switches back the sheets for transfer and is formed of an elastic piece; a sheet discharge upper roller 52a which backup-conveys the sheets transferred by the paddle member; a roller arm 50 which moves the sheet discharge upper roller 52a and return paddle 51 at a constant movement ratio in the sheet thickness direction in accordance with the number of sheets placed on the processing tray; and a sheet type sensor 170 which determines the type of sheets placed on the processing tray. The sheet processing device determines the type of sheets with the sensor and changes the ratio of the elevating movement of the roller arm 50 in the sheet thickness direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
